Thursday 27 May 2021, 16.00 - 17.00
Online by Zoom
This is the first in a regular programme of climate cafés, hosted by Harrogate College in collaboration with Zero Carbon Harrogate, for anyone in the Harrogate District.
A climate café is a simple, hospitable and empathetic space for people to express their fears and uncertainties about climate change. There are no guest speakers and no talks, and it is an advice-free zone.
As our understanding and awareness of climate change increases, this can cause complex emotions to surface. It is crucial we give ourselves the time and space to explore and talk about these emotions, which can often be seen as taboo or difficult to talk about. Yet these feeling are a natural and healthy response to what we can already see happening in the world today, as a direct result of our changing climate.
Numbers will be limited to ensure everyone in the café has the space to talk if they wish to.
Please register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send out the Zoom link 48 hours before the event.
