Concerned about this Government trampling over local democracy and trying to fast track this polluting industry into our country?
Feel it’s time to add your voice to those protesting against this harmful process being forced on us by the few who think it’s their right to trash our countryside, because they’ve money and power?
This film goes beyond the subject of hydraulic fracking, and is a compelling and optimistic documentary about civil rights and the growing movement to defend our rural communities from industrial development. It shows that the actions of tenacious people dedicated to preserving the planet for future generations can take on industry and government and win.
At a time when this government, and their rich financiers, is attempting to destroy our rights to local democracy which determines what development is permitted in their areas, the film shows that opposition from committed residents can bring about a change in policies.
There will be opportunity to discuss the issues after the film.
Refreshments will be served before the screening, from 7.15pm and after.
This is a free-of-charge event but donations towards costs would be appreciated.
