Christ Church Harrogate
A Church of England place of worship in High Harrogate, looking to care for creation as an essential part of Christian mission and ministry by minimising carbon emissions.

Focus: Building insulation, energy use and land management (churchyard)
Improved insulation and LED lighting now used, with all electricity from renewable resources, combined with the use of a fuel efficient boiler.
Tree planting has taken place and carbon offsets have been purchased to account for on site carbon emissions that cannot be completely eliminated.

It is estimated that 35 tonnes of CO2 have been saved.
