Our hustings is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the Harrogate and Knaresborough constituency candidates about how they plan to address climate change if they were to serve as Harrogate and Knaresborough’s next MP.

Anyone is welcome to come – you can turn up on the night, but to help us keep an eye on numbers you can fill in our sign up form.

As a local climate action charity and member of the North Yorkshire Climate Coalition, which seeks to work with elected representatives and advocates for ambitious, effective climate policies, we want to provide each candidate with a fair and constructive opportunity to engage with residents, business-people and other members of the local community about climate-related and environmental issues and directly address the primary concerns shared by residents on issues related to the climate emergency.

We also want to bring our audience new and exciting ways to engage with people of influence within the community so that together, we can achieve our overall vision to achieve rapid local transition for a net zero economy and community by 2030.

Confirmed candidates so far:

Paul Haslam - Independent Party
Andrew Jones - Conservative Party
Shan Oakes - Green Party
Conrad Whitcroft - Labour Party
Tom Gordon - Liberal Democrats

The General Election takes place on 4th July, and whoever wins it must be able to lead on the climate agenda... don't miss this chance to voice your climate concerns directly!
