Walk to School Day Competition Winner!

Every half term schools across North Yorkshire take part in their local Walk to School Day, whatever the weather!

As a thank you for all the pupils' eco efforts we wanted to hold a photo competition on the most recent Walk to School Day last Friday 15th March, as it also coincided with Red Nose Day which many schools took part in. To win £50 of book vouchers, kindly sponsored by local sustainability company Flotilla, schools sent us their most original, positive and energetic photos from the day, that spanned the themes of both Walk to School and Red Nose Days.

The winning photo was Richard (pictured) from St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School in Ripon. His photo shows him trying to get to school using a map of Brazil! It's a miracle he made it to school!

Other schools that made it into the runners up category were Admiral Long C of E Primary, Bilton Grange Primary and Coppice Valley Primary.Other schools that made it into the runners up category were Admiral Long C of E Primary, Bilton Grange Primary and Coppice Valley Primary.
